The biggest week of the Tiger-Cats players’ recent lives kicked off yesterday afternoon from the team office at 1 Jarvis Str., in downtown Hamilton.
Several hundred showed up to see the team board the bus that was heading to the airport in Toronto, many of them got there an hour ahead of the scheduled 4pm departure time.
No doubt, some of the die-hard fans out there yesterday have waited 14 years to see the Hamilton CFL club fight for the Grey Cup.
Even the team staff got an uproar of approval from the crowd before any of the players came outside.
Marwan Hage, Andy Fantuz and Henry Burris got the biggest reactions from the crowd, some of whom came in from Guelph.

“This is the fun part of it all, to be able to get out and spend some time with the fans, to just enjoy the moment,” says Burris.
The team arrived in Toronto to catch a flight to the Regina airport and arrived there late last night.
Among the list of things to do in the next couple of days, is their first team practice. Hamilton players would stay at Taylor Field while the opposing Roughriders moved down the highway to Moose Jaw.
