Could a former #1 overall NFL draft pick be making a comeback?
Over the past 5 years it was in serious doubt that JaMArcus Russell could ever compete in this league the way he did in the NCAA back in 2007 but according to reports, one of the strongest arms has been approached by the Tennessee Titans.
Jake Locker is hurt and Ryan Fitzpatrick and the rest of the Titans lost today to KC.
Locker is expected out for at least a month, and nobody in the NFL has that kind of time to wait.
Russell had been working to keep in shape for the past several years, supposedly alongside Jeff Garcia and Terrell Owens, however, it is believed that Russell had a knee injury which he suffered over the summer and it is also believed that he won’t be playing any football anywhere, at least for now.
Russell has not played a single down in the NFL since 2009, did have a tryout with Chicago in June where he showed that he has in fact improved his conditioning.
