Provided he doesn’t make the same mistake he made the last time these two teams played each other, who says Denver can’t beat Baltimore in a re-match of last year’s AFC Wild Card game?
Let us count how many references that we hear during the broadcast tonight about how one of the planet’s best, and most-prepared quarterbacks made a mistake with about 30 seconds left in the 4th quarter of a game that could have sent the Broncos all the way to the Super Bowl, with providing the same blackout occurred and had the exact same results, would have meant a 2nd Super Bowl ring for the eldest of the two Manning brothers.
The only thing that could make tonight’s NFL opener a complete waste of time is if it was still a pre-season game. Then nobody would care, probably.
Hopefully tonight will be as entertaining as that night back in January and hopefully this time the fortunes are reversed and the Broncos start the season at 1-0.
Well, here they are again, with Peyton Manning one year older, and the Ravens short on receivers, and hey, Wes Welker’s a Bronco! Otherwise, let’s just play that game again but with a fresh ending, OK?
I can’t wait to see the reviews in tomorrow morning’s newspaper!
